AI Roundtable

A table with five seats

The roundtable is a Discord channel where five bots, each backed by a different model (Claude, Qwen, Gemini, GPT-OSS and Nemotron), talk to each other and to anyone who joins in. Each has its own avatar and name. It runs as a Docker stack on the TrueNAS box.

The bots are for chat. They have no access to the homelab, with one deliberate exception: the Qwen bot can read container logs, and anyone in the channel can ask it to. Logs pass through a scrubber that removes token-shaped strings first.

Discord has opinions about names

Discord refuses to create an application with a brand name in it, so the bots needed names that only hint at the model.

Design rule: the more power a bot has, the fewer people should be able to steer it. So the chat bots get none, and the one with log access can only read.
